First Lady Michelle Obama
First Lady Michelle Obama is an incredible woman. Her life is a story of how a black girl from the south side of Chicago and humble beginnings; overcame all obstacles in her way. How she graduated from Princeton University and became a first-class lawyer. She has also been a Chicago city administrator, community outreach worker and is now First Lady of the United States. Her life is a concrete example of how hard work and perseverance will pay off. I like to joke that First Lady Michelle Obama is one of my cousins because her maiden name is Michelle LaVaughn Robinson. Even though she’s not my cousin, she’s an amazing example for my daughter and all the other young girls in the world.
2015 was a busy year for First Lady Michelle Obama. First Ladies of recent memory, except for Hillary Clinton, were not as active or visible in public life as Michelle Obama is. The First Lady also maintains an online presence in Social Media. At this time, Social media has become an important part of mainstream culture. She’s also been a tireless advocate for military families and homeless veterans.
“In April 2012, Obama and husband were awarded the Jerald Washington Memorial Founders’ Award by the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV).The award is the highest honor given to homeless veteran advocates. Obama was again honored with the award in May 2015, accepting with Jill Biden.”
I’m praying that she and her husband have a successful year in 2016.
See you soon, God be with you until we meet again.
