California is big on healthy food. We like food with no artificial flavors or colors. Fortunately, people all over the U.S. are becoming more concerned about eating a healthy diet. Big food, noticed the change in consumer attitude and started making changes.
Sounds good right. After looking closer, I found out this is really a move to make processed food a little less processed so people will keep buying the stuff. After seeing the success of companies such as Whole Foods and Trader Joe's; big companies like Kraft don't want to get left behind as people begin moving to healthier alternatives to mass-produced food products.

Kraft Heinz revealed on Monday that three months ago, it quietly stripped its signature macaroni and cheese dinners of the artificial flavors, preservatives and dyes that had forged the essence of the gooey, neon noodles since 1937.
