Always think before you speak.

The pandemic has taught me to take life day by day and that there are very few guarantees in life. Not to mention, recent events in our Nations Capitol show that words can have deadly consequences.

Stay grateful

I'm grateful for the little things like hearing the birds chirping in the morning and spending time with my family, even if it has to be on the telephone.

It's more important now than ever that we watch what we say to each other and how we say it. Working from home, and seeing our family, kids, etc., home every day could get taxing. Come on, admit it, even in the best of times; every now and then, we get on each other's nerves.

Remember to be kind.

Treat the people we meet, at the grocery store, at the gas station, and throughout the day, with kindness (wear your mask). You never know what someone else is going through. So, back to my point, watch what you say. One misplaced word, although it might not mean anything to you, might stay in someone's memory for years and years.

Be careful out there.
