I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this ad on T.V. during one of the NBA’s Christmas games. There’s never been an advertisement like it. It’s part of a series of ads calling for an end to gun violence in America. It’s great to see a multi-billion dollar organization put its weight behind a social cause that could ultimately save many lives. Now if we can get some of our elected officials to see the light and do something about the overload of firearms in America.

To find out where your representative in government stands on this issue; I found a super-cool, interactive map that will tell you, who your elected representative is, where they stand on gun legislation, and most importantly, how much money they receive from the gun lobby. To find out about your elected official, click here. This remarkable map gives us a bonanza of information, and I’m elated to have found it.

Let’s do Something to End Gun Violence

Wow! that is a great message. If anyone can take on the NRA, maybe it’s the NBA. They are going to need help from the whole team find a cure for gun violence. I’m game, how about you. It will take everyone working together to solve the firearm problem in the U.S. I can sympathize with people who think that because there are already so many guns in the streets they need one too. I can only say that more guns can’t be the answer to this problem. All you have to do is look at where the more guns solution has gotten us. More young people are now killed by guns in the U.S. than car wrecks.

Although some people need to have, their weapons taken away. I’m not advocating that the government take anyone’s guns away.  However, we need to come up with some controls on who has access to guns and where you can legally have them. Also, people don’t need machine guns or assault weapons to guard their homes. The problem of gun violence affects us all, and there is no one size fits all solution. What do you think? Any ideas on how we can solve the gun murder epidemic in America?
