The boob-tube tells us today’s teenagers are a wild and crazy bunch of kids, but I’ve long suspected otherwise. In fact, in my humble opinion, I think today’s kids get into way less trouble; than my generation or the ones born before, or after them. I was born in the late 50s, was a young boy in the 60s, and came of age in the late 70s and early 80s. I tell you this why??? —-I’m pushing 60, and as B.B. King used to say, ‘I’ve seen some things’.
The revolutionary 60s was famous for the civil rights movement. It’s also known for the counter-culture of drugs, sex, and rock and roll; that came to life during this time.
I was a teenager in the 70s, and I can confidently tell you that kids today, are better behaved than teenagers back then. Maybe they’re spending all their time on their I-Phones, or they’re busy coding the next Candy Crush, but they’re definitely not as bad as we were.
